I had my sunroof open and when I pushed the button to close it started then stopped. It still moved back, but not forward.

When I unscrewed the button from the overhead it fell out, it's all cracked now and won't go back so I need to close it without using the button. I looked online and saw people saying to use an allan wrench to manually close it from the sunroof motor, but when I look at the motor I can't see anything to take a wrench or screwdriver to, other than the mounting screws, one of which is stripped. I don't care about getting it to work, I just want to close it. I googled the make and model number and it gave me pictures: It's a 94 Ford Taurus, if that matters. What do I do?

Anyone know how to close it? Any help would be appreciated. Best Answer: ill take a stab at an attempt, ok in the picture, you see the cylinder withe the blue and green wire? I believe that is the motor itself. The end closest to those wires has a small plastic piece coming off of it.

If you can grab a hold of that piece (gently) and turn it the window should begin to move. I ca not tel you if you need to go clockwise or counter clockwise so go a but and see if you are gig the right direction.

You can only upload a photo or a video. Video should be smaller than 600mb/5 minutes. Photo should be smaller than 5mb.

Hi I have a Webasto Sunroof on my Honda City; about 8 years old. It has a nice one touch operation to open or close the sunroof. However, after replacing the battery (to the best of my knowledge) something has gone wrong and I have to keep the buttons pressed for it open or close.

An added benefit (?) is that now I can leave the sunroof open when I park; earlier the roof used to auto-close when I switch off. I had this problem once before & I performed a reset and things became normal. Other than the faint memory that it involved doing something when starting the car, I cant, for the life of me, remember how to reset it. Could not find anything useful online either. Please help and let me know the procedure for a Webasto Sunroof reset.

Switch on ignition, but do not start the car and with the sunroof close, press the close button (down arrow button) and hold it for 5 seconds. Then immediately open the sunroof completely and continue to press down the open button (up arrow button) for 5 seconds.
